February has been a month of many surprises! Other than starting to work on our home again, this month has been an emotional roller coster with many tests of patience and faith. It has been a month of re connecting, building up our friendships to new levels, investing in our marriage through the XO Marriage Today conference, as well as a month of answered prayer. Stay tuned for my next blog post on Letters To Baby, for an update on our in vitro fertilization journey.
As for Gable Oaks, we chose to start our laundry room/bathroom renovation on the main floor. Well, we were talking about starting it... One day my husband and I were both doing our own thing in our living room. It was peaceful and we were both content. Mitch had left for a few minutes. I heard some noise but chose not to be bothered. Two minutes later, he walks past the room with drop ceiling framing in his hands. I couldn't stop laughing! Once we start something, we don't stop until its done, so I figured I would get the vacuum and garbage bags ready. My main role with renovations is the maintenance of clean up - which I love...thus the laundry room/bathroom renovation started! One day we all replace the tile floor, but for now, we are focusing on the ceiling. We are adding a foot on the heigh of the ceiling and finishing it with barn board from our barn. The room will then get a paint job and a new light fixture. Below are some photos of our boys and some updates at Gable Oaks.
